Customer Spotlight: Radar

Say hello to Nature’s Select Dog, Radar!

Radar is a 10-month-old Silver Lab. Yes, a SILVER lab! There is actually some controversy about silver labs because there are only three recognized lab colors by the AKC. Some say silvers have been mixed with weimaraners, but research shows that silver, charcoal and champagne labs are just a dilute gene of chocolate, black, and yellow colored labs. He came from a breeder in Yucaipa, CA, who breeds for good health and temperament. He was chosen at just a few weeks old to be Eze's service dog prospect (Young boy pictured above with Radar).

Radar has been in training with our friends over at Working Dogs For Warriors (a non-profit organization that trains and donates service dogs for warriors and first responders) since he was 3 months old. He goes with Eze just about everywhere, and we can't get enough of these two! Aren't they just so adorable? Radar loves lots of cuddles and playing with kids. Radar knows Eze is his person and watches over him wherever they go. Radar has a big job to fill and we’re all excited to see how he helps Eze navigate his world as they grow together. And that is why his name is Radar - because his purpose is to be tuned into Eze so that he can help keep him safe & sound at all times. Radar enjoys our Select High Protein Recipe to keep him fueled, healthy, and energized to fulfill his daily duties with Eze.

"This is Radar. He’s my puppy. I like having Radar because he’s fun and makes me happy, but he’s a lot of work. Taking care of an animal means feeding them, cleaning up after them, and most importantly training them to have good manners. We go to training for Radar twice a week with @workingdogsforwarriors and we practice at home every day. We take Radar with us almost everywhere we go. Radar likes going on walks, jumping in the trampoline, and riding my brothers’ skateboards. If we go outside without him, he cries." - Eze
